Steel mills price adjustment: this week is the second last week before Chinese lunar new year, and in order to further stimulate the market after new year break, the large steel mills like Angang steel, Bengang steel and Shougang steel in China have increased their prices successively for February and the increased part is much more than the market expectation. However, the secondary and third level steel mills are stopping production for the new year break, so they haven’t done any big adjustment to the prices. Main steel mills price increase for February: Angang steel increased 260 yuan for hot-rolled plate, 200 yuan for cold-rolled plate, 350 yuan for rolled hard coils, 300 yuan for galvanized plate, 100 yuan for ordinary steel plate、low alloyed plate and high quality structure plate, 200 yuan for wire materials and 200 yuan for seamless pipe.

Bengang steel mill: 420 yuan increased for hot-rolled plate, 200 yuan for cold-rolled plate, and 200 yuan for galvanized plate, and 200 yuan. 220 yuan order discount has been cancelled. The price of color plate stays unchanged.
